A special place where I've always hoped we'd dance some day is the Aragon Ballroom, a Chicago venue built in the 1920's. I have always loved it's ornate and colorful Spanish/Mediterranean architecture and decor, which has been well maintained so that when you walk in you can almost feel you're stepping back in time. It's a venue where I have fond memories of seeing some great shows, and it's fun knowing that my Mom used to come here to see bands as a teenager back in the '50s! On the week of our 7th anniversary as a troupe, my dream of performing at the Aragon finally came true. On this page are a few photos taken before the show ... I hope to post some professional photos of our actual performance within the next few weeks, so please check back ... Steph Our friend Brent Roman--a brilliant percussionist we look forward to working with more in the future--was our musical accompanist for the evening. Below are pictures of Brent with Eliza and Steph at the foot of the grand staircase, where we did a pre-show performance. |
